Nagarjuna addresses Kuberaa backlash, says the film belongs to everyone.

The team of Kuberaa, including stars Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dhanush, and Rashmika Mandanna, gathered in Hyderabad on Sunday, June 22, 2025, to celebrate the film's massive success. The event was graced by megastar Chiranjeevi and attended by fans and film fraternity members alike.
The Sekhar Kammula directorial has been a box office triumph, grossing an impressive ₹80 crore globally within just three days of its theatrical release. The film has also received critical acclaim for its intense storytelling and powerful performances.
Addressing the media at the event, Nagarjuna clarified his previous comment where he had called himself the “hero” of Kuberaa, a statement that sparked online criticism. “When Sekhar narrated the script to me, he described how all characters revolve around Deepak’s role. I may have misspoken earlier,” he explained. “This film is Deepak’s, it is Deva’s, Sameera’s - it is everybody’s film. But most importantly, it is Sekhar Kammula’s film.”
Nagarjuna also heaped praise on his co-star Dhanush, saying, “What can I say about Dhanush? He has four National Awards. Even Chiranjeevi and I didn’t recognize him on set the way he performed using just his left hand was phenomenal!”
Kuberaa is an action-packed drama exploring themes of revenge, greed, and redemption. Alongside Dhanush and Nagarjuna, the film stars Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and others in pivotal roles. With its gripping screenplay and emotional depth, the film continues to win hearts at the box office and beyond.
